01 — Services

The everyday work of the workshop

Whatever a car needs, we do it here. If a job is not on the list, just ask on the phone and we will tell you honestly whether we can take it on.

  • Servicing & maintenance

The scheduled check to the manufacturer's schedule: fluids, filters, wearing parts, a visual and functional inspection. We tell you what needs doing now and what can wait.

  • MOT & emissions test

We prepare your vehicle for its statutory roadworthiness test and arrange the appointment with an officially recognised inspection body. If the pre-check turns something up, we discuss it beforehand — not afterwards.

  • Repairs

From a small job to something bigger on the engine, gearbox, chassis or electrics. Look first, quote second, spanners third.

  • Brakes

Pads, discs, brake fluid, handbrake, lines. Safety-critical and not something to put off — if it squeals or pulls, ring us sooner rather than later.

  • Tyres & wheels

Tyre changes, fitting, balancing, repairs, pressure-monitoring. Please ring in good time for the seasonal change — in spring and autumn everyone wants a slot at once.

  • Oil change

Engine oil and oil filter to the specification approved for your vehicle, with the used oil properly disposed of. A quick job when we have a bay free.

  • Fault-code diagnosis

Warning light on the dash? We read the fault memory and explain in plain language what the code means and what it will cost, before anything gets replaced.

  • Exhaust & emissions system

Silencer, manifold, catalytic converter, lambda sensor, pipes and mountings. Frequently the reason an emissions test does not pass.

  • Battery & electrics

Testing and replacing the battery, alternator, starter motor, wiring, fuses. The most common roadside problem in winter.

  • Lighting

Headlights, rear lights, indicators, fog lamps, alignment. A blown bulb is the cheapest defect at the roadworthiness test — and the most annoying.

  • Air-conditioning service

Checking, servicing and recharging the air conditioning, plus the cabin filter. If it only blows lukewarm, it is usually short of refrigerant.

  • Wheel alignment

After a kerb, after new tyres, or when the steering wheel sits crooked: checking and adjusting toe and camber. Kinder to your tyres and cheaper in the long run.

This list describes the usual work of an independent workshop and is not exhaustive. The quickest way to find out whether we can take on your repair is a phone call.

02 — Roadworthiness test

MOT and emissions — prepared, booked, explained

Is the test sticker expired, or about to be? Bring the car to us instead of sorting out the appointment and the re-test yourself. We look the vehicle over first, tell you what stands in the way of a pass, and arrange the appointment with an officially recognised inspection body.

  1. Ring us

You tell us the vehicle and the date on the sticker. We tell you when you can come in.

  2. Pre-check

We go through the vehicle before it goes for testing. Anything we find, we discuss with you — you decide what gets done.

  3. Appointment & inspection

The inspection itself is carried out by an officially recognised inspection body. We organise the appointment for it.

The roadworthiness and emissions tests are carried out by an officially recognised inspection body, not by the workshop itself. We prepare your vehicle and organise the appointment.

03 — The workshop

An independent workshop, not a dealership

An independent workshop means you are not tied to a marque or to a dealership. You ring, you get an appointment, and you speak to the person who does the work — not to a call centre and not to four separate departments.

We look at the vehicle before we promise anything. You get an estimate, and anything beyond it is agreed with you first. If a repair is not worth the money, we will say so.

The workshop is on Gerichtstraße in Wedding, in the Mitte district, between Gesundbrunnen and Wedding. If you live nearby you can drop the car off and walk home.

  • Look first, estimate second, repair third.
  • No work without agreeing it first.
  • Explained in plain language, not in jargon.

04 — Appointment & directions
